A Journey Worth Taking -for Travelers to Japan

ree

Welcome to Japan!

Many of you have come here for sightseeing, discovery, and adventure. Traveling is exciting — you explore new places, meet new people, and see life from a fresh perspective.

Faith in Jesus Christ is also a journey — but one that goes beyond sightseeing. It’s a journey of the heart. Just like you need a map when you travel, we all need direction in life. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6) He is not only a guide but also the destination.

🍱 More Than Just Experiences

On your trip, you might enjoy good food, beautiful views, and unforgettable moments. But after the trip ends, those memories eventually fade. Jesus offers something greater: peace for your soul, forgiveness for your past, and hope for your future. His love never ends, and His presence goes with you wherever you are.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

🚶 Steps on the Journey of Faith

  1. Recognize the Need — Just as a traveler admits they are lost without a map, we all need God’s forgiveness and direction. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

  2. Trust the Guide — Jesus gave His life for us on the cross, and rose again, so that we could be forgiven and start fresh. “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

  3. Take the Step — A journey begins with one step. Faith begins when you invite Jesus into your life.

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)

  4. Walk Daily — Just like travel, faith is not only about the destination but the daily journey. Pray, read the Bible, and connect with others who follow Jesus.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.” (Psalm 23:1–2)

✝️ A Simple Prayer to Begin Your Journey with Jesus

“Lord Jesus,

I thank You for loving me and for coming into this world to save me.

I admit that I have sinned and gone my own way.

Please forgive me and cleanse my heart.

I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again to give me new life.

Today I open my heart and invite You to be my Savior and my Lord.

Guide me on this journey of faith, help me to know You more, and teach me to follow You each day.

Thank You for giving me eternal life and a new beginning. In Your precious name I pray, Amen.”

🌟 What to Do Next on Your Journey with Jesus

  1. Talk to Jesus Every Day (Prayer)

Prayer is simply speaking to God as to a close friend. Share your joys, worries, and thanks with Him. He loves to listen to you.

  2. Read the Bible (God’s Word)

Start with the Gospel of John in the New Testament. It tells the story of Jesus in a clear and powerful way. Reading the Bible is like hearing Jesus speak directly to your heart.

  3. Find Fellowship with Believers

Look for a local church or a group of Christians where you can learn together, worship, and encourage one another. Faith grows stronger when shared.

  4. Follow Jesus in Daily Life

Try to live in a way that reflects His love—be kind, forgive others, and serve people around you. Jesus will give you strength to live differently.

  5. Be Baptized (if you haven’t yet)

Baptism is an outward sign of your inner faith. It shows that your old life is gone and you are now walking in new life with Jesus.

  6. Share the Good News

Just as you’ve started this journey, invite others to begin theirs. Tell your friends what Jesus has done for you.

Remember: Faith is a journey, not a one-time step. Jesus walks with you wherever you go—even as you travel in Japan or anywhere else in the world.
